This process forms the main unit of the can lid. Use an equipment called "shell press" to punch aluminum plates whose interior and exterior have been coated. Perform the curling process for seaming can bodies.
Apply the sealing material called "compound" to the interior of the curled panel. This helps seal the the body and lid of the can more tightly.
Form the tab, which is the fingergrip part.
Perform the scoring process and install the tab.
Produce the opening for drinking.
Install the tab.
A strict inspection is conducted in the middle of each process for each lid. Only lids that pass this test will be packaged and stored.
